The HIV self-testing – going to scale” STAR workshop was held in Nairobi on the 27th -30th March.This large international workshop included the regional roll out of the WHO guidelines as well as interim analysis findings from large scale studies on HIV self-testing in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi. With policymakers, MoH, civil society and WHO country representatives from 18 countries there had been some lively discussions and debate as critical issues around translating pilot projects to scale were discussed. During the same week, a webinar was hosted on the Maisha Maarifa hub with most presenters present at the STAR workshop. The webinar addressed the HIV self-testing International and Kenyan perspectives including information on HIVST roll out. The blog below was written as a follow up to the well-attended and informative webinar to address key questions raised during the webinar and highlight key points.
