We work with community groups/organisations, counties and national governments to design and implement responsive and quality HIV and SGBV services. Our approach to health systems strengthening is based on the six WHO building blocks; Health Service Delivery, Health Workforce, Health Information, Essential Medicines – Health Financing, Leadership and Governance.
We enhance capacities in key program areas of service providers and programme managers with the aim of addressing service delivery and coverage gaps.
We utilize our Timisha capacity development model for organizational systems strengthening, where each organization can address its capacity building interventions based on its system needs. Timisha model covers eight components; Governance, Human Resources management, financial management, project management, technical capacity, M&E systems, advocacy and community ownership. It integrates a mentorship approach based on LVCT Health’s experiences in leadership and management, programme work, policy engagement and research.
LVCT Health is well positioned to manage sub-granting of other organisations locally. As part of implementing our Timisha capacity strengthening model, we have over the years’ undertaken competitive re-granting of funds over $40,000 annually on behalf of our partners.
