Dr. Lawrence Mbae is a medical doctor and public health specialist. He is an expert in general medicine, HIV, Maternal and Child Health, and public health management, implementation of quality assurance and improvement, and roll-out of innovative health solutions. He joined the LVCT Health team in February 2021 as the Programs Director and is responsible for implementing the technical components of the vision and strategy, management and accountability for HIV and GBV programs, and strategic information at LVCT health.
Dr. Mbae has over 15 years combined experience working in public and private sectors and managing implementation of HIV, TB, MNCH & RH/FP programs in PS Kenya, Goldstar Kenya, and ICAP in Columbia. He previously worked with ICAP as National Technical Advisor, HIV Differentiated Service Delivery and Population Services International/Kenya as the Deputy Director, Clinical Services and Quality Assurance. Dr. Mbae brings a wealth of experience in the scale-up of evidence-based and high-impact health solutions to priority health in the field of HIV/TB.
Dr. Mbae is a graduate of the University of Nairobi School of Medicine and Institute of Tropical Medicine in Belgium.
