The SHINE study (LVCT Health, APHRC, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and BRAC JPGSPH) generated the first mixedmethods
evidence base on CHP mental health in Kenya, working alongside the Ministry of Health’s Division of Mental
Health and Division of Community Health and the County governments of Nairobi and Kiambu. This brief presents the
evidence and a co-designed pathway to act on it.
