With nearly half of the country’s population under age, the future of HIV in Kenya will in large measure be determined by success in preventing new infections among the millions of sexually active youth. According Kenya AIDS Indicator Survey 2012, one in every five youths aged 15 to 24 years reported sexual debut before the age of 15 years. Surveys further indicate that young men are more likely than young women to use a condom the first time they have sex.

What we do

Thanks to public-private partnership with Kenya’s leading mobile operator – Safaricom; the youth can freely and confidentially discuss issues that are of relevance to them under the integrated digital platform – one2one. Thousands of youth receive professional counseling and access to accurate HIV and AIDS related information through the platform which entails live web-chatting, phone calling, and interaction via social media (face book and twitter).
