Dr. Cleophas Ondieki is a medical doctor with over 10 years’ experience in clinical practice, program management and leadership. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery degree from the University of Nairobi and is currently pursuing MSc in Public Health specializing in Health Service Management from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He is also a clinical fellow of the Joanna Briggs Institute.
As the Regional Director, Nairobi & Project Director – STAR, Dr. Cleophas is charged with the responsibility of ensuring quality service delivery in HIV prevention in Nairobi and Kiambu. Prior to appointment in this role, he served within the organization as the Eastern Regional Manager and Care and Treatment Manager. Previously, he worked at Marie Stopes Kenya (MSK) for 5 years in various capacities up to the senior management team level. During the period, he gained a lot of experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health. Prior to working for MSK, Dr. Cleophas worked at Embu Provincial General Hospital where he provided leadership in the Comprehensive Care Clinic providing care for HIV positive patients.
