LVCT Health at the 6th Maisha Conference

A team from LVCT Health will feature at this year’s 6th Maisha HIV and AIDS Conference scheduled to take place in Nairobi Kenya from the 14th-16th of June 2021. The conference will be a hybrid of both in-person and virtual platforms in light of the prevailing conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic.

LVCT Health will feature in two-panel discussions and make an oral presentation at the conference, which serves as a solution-oriented platform bringing together scientists, innovators, activists, programmers and other stakeholders to share knowledge and evidence during these unprecedented moments.

The conference theme is ‘Towards the Last Mile: Resilience and Innovations’ and ’is organised by the  National AIDS Control Council (NACC) whose mandate is to coordinate stakeholders in the multisectoral response to HIV and AIDS in Kenya.

HIV and Gender Based Violence 16/06/2021 This session aims at Highlight the situation of Gender Based Violence in the country amidst the COVID-19 pandemic including on Innovations for addressing GBVS, share on best practices, lived experiences and lessons learnt in addressing Gender Based Violence, increase awareness on the legal frameworks and institutions available for providing access to justice for survivors of violence. And set the stage for Evidence based advocacy and strategic policy interventions towards Ending GBV.
