LVCT Health will be at the 3rd HIV Research for prevention (HIVR4P) conference in Madrid, Spain; 21-25 October 2018.
The global scientific conference focuses exclusively on the challenging and fast-growing field of biomedical HIV prevention research. HIVR4P supports cross-fertilization among research on HIV vaccines, microbicides, PrEP, treatment as prevention, and other biomedical prevention approaches, while also providing a venue to discuss the research findings, questions, and priorities specific to each.
HIVR4P is a platform to advance HIV prevention research and responds to a growing global consensus that effective prevention will require a combination of prevention approaches and unprecedented collaboration between fields of research.
The HIVR4P 2018 theme, “From Research to Impact,” aims to remind all the players in HIV prevention that the ultimate goal of these efforts is to save lives and stop HIV. The conference will also focus on the challenges of translating promising research results into practical, accessible and affordable HIV prevention options for people who need them worldwide.
