LVCT Health welcomes the appointment of Dr. Lilian Otiso as its new Executive Director

Nairobi, 29 November 2019 – LVCT Health welcomes the appointment of Dr. Lilian Otiso as its new Executive Director. Dr. Otiso has more than 14 years of experience in clinical, research and programming.

The LVCT Health Board of Directors chair, Eng. Patrick Obath, appointed Dr. Otiso as the organization Executive Director and the Board’s secretary following a comprehensive and competitive selection process.

Dr. Otiso is a medical doctor with an MBA in Healthcare management. She brings a wealth of experience and commitment in implementing programs and research on HIV prevention, HIV testing and counselling, care and treatment, sexual and reproductive health, gender based violence and community health systems, targeting adolescent girls and young women, Key Populations and other vulnerable populations.

Before her appointment, Dr Otiso worked as the Director Programs at LVCT Health where she served diligently in LVCT’s senior management team for about 11 years. She is well known by various stakeholders locally and internationally with whom she has built relationships over the years.

She is a member of several national and international technical working groups in community health, HIV/SRH and quality improvement, and the founder and immediate former co-chair of the Health Systems Global Thematic Working Group on Community Health Workers which has a large global membership.
