LVCT Health implements the Strengthening TB and HIV Response in Kenya Prisons (STAR) project, funded by the U.S. Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to reduce HIV/TB infections in the Kenyan prison population, and mortality and morbidity of HIV/TB positive inmates.
Project Objectives
- To improve health outcomes of PLHIV identified and linked to care and treatment through the KPS health facilities
- To strengthen the KPS health system to provide optimal HIV combination prevention services to over 95% of inmates, KPS staff and their families and surrounding communities by 2025
